Ajay Devgn starer franchise Singham Returns has got a huge opening day due to independence day at the box office . As per early estimates the film should collect Rs 320 milion (Rs 32 crores) net at the indian box office on Day one of its release globally. Box Office Salman Khan ‘s Kick managed to collect Rs 265 million (26.5 crore) net on it’s opening day. While the second and the third day saw good growth by collecting Rs 270 million ( 27 crore) and Rs 310 million (31 crore)on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
Ajay Devgn ‘s Singham Returns had one of the highest opening days of all time . It has now beat the records of first day business of Shahrukh ;Khan’s Chennai Express and Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger and Kick.
All time records in many territories have been broken specially in mumbai circuit .
While Mumbai has been the strongest region due to the theme of the movie , the film has beat collections of Dhoom 3 , Kick and has beaten the figures of Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3, along with Shahrukh Khan’s Chennai Express and Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger.
While Aamir maintains the top spot of the highest opening day ever, Dhoom 3 had collected in the range of Rs 334.2 million (33.4 crore) net approximately on Day 1. Major earnings for Dhoom 3 came from Mumbai circuit.
However, as compared to Chennai Express, which performed well in South Indian circuits, Dhoom 3 (Hindi version) didn’t perform well in South Indian circuits neither did Singham Returns
